Red and Pink Valentines Day Nails

Happy almost Valentines day, everyone! So, on Monday I showed you some Valentines Day nails that were more original than the cliche pink and red. Today, I'm showing you the cliche pink and red ones! Haha. I hope everyone has a great day tomorrow, and I'll see you all on Friday!
Enjoy! xx

The colours I used were: Barelements Ruby Red which is a dark, beautiful red. Colour Club Poptastic which is my favourite pink and definitely my go-to colour, and Colour Club Warhol (for the gradient).

The black is acrylic paint.

The rhinestones were bought off Born Pretty and you can find their website here! There's a 10% off code which you can get by clicking here, but I haven't used it for a while, and don't know if it still works!

The micro beads were bought off of Ebay!

Colour Club Almost Valentines Day Nails!

Well! Wednesday is Valentines Day, as I'm sure you all know. Since It's only Monday, (ew) I have some nails that aren't Valentines themed, but could be if you wanted. haha. I hope everyone's Monday isn't too crappy and you all have a great week. Today is me and my boyfriend's 11th month aniversary! That's crazy in highschool years! Haha. Well,
Enjoy! xx

The colours that I used were: Colour Club Chelsea Girl which is a really nice blue. It's pretty much the colour  blue that I think about when I think of blue. Does that make sense? Haha. China Glaze Elephant Walk which is a grey that I probably wouldn't have picked out myself, I got it from a friend. It does however, look a lot nicer on nails than in the bottle. Revlon Whimsical is a milky glitter. It took about 4 coats to get it to the transparency as it is here.

The flower was bought off of ebay, and are a really nice light blue lily that fades into white near the top.

I used white acrylic paint for the letters and mixed it with a bit of Elephant Walk for the shadow.

New Glitter with China Glaze 4 Leaf Clover!

Hi all! Another post with matte! I got some fancy new glitter that is a mix between hex and circle, ahah so I wanted to try it out. This is something I've never tried before, so be brutally honest!

The colour used here is a new one I have; China Glaze 4 Leaf Clover. It's coming off as more of a blue in the pictures, because I couldn't get the light quite right, but it's a tad bit more teal. Either way, It's a gorgeous colour, and I'm very glad I purchased it! :)

The glitter was actually bought from my local dollar store, and was such a bargain that I couldn't pass it up.

Just in case anyone is wondering, this beautiful ring that my practice hand is "wearing" is a Kameleon ring. You can find their website here!

Once again, I used NYC Matte Me Crazy for the top coat!

Matte Glitter with Bundle Monster Stamping Plates

So, these are nails from quite a long time ago. I didn't like them much at the time and wasn't even going to put them on here, but hey, who cares, and I like them a lot more now. I love the matte colours and how they turned out. The pictures don't quite catch the glitter that well, but it's definitely an amazing colour.

For these nails, I used Colour Club Gift of Sparkle (purple) and an old grey that my mother had. I don't have the name of this colour, sorry!

I used NYC Matte Me Crazy for a top coat!

The stamping plate that I used was BM316.

If you don't already have the Bundle Monster stamping plates I highly recommend them! They're a lot cheaper then Konad plates, but are still great quality. Head over to Bundle Monster to pick them up!

Hello Again

"If you want to be the best, baby, you're got to work harder than anybody else." - Sammy Davis Jr

Hi everyone. First of all, I need to apologize for my excessive absence, and I hope you will all forgive me. I'm in grade 11 this year and recently found a University that I plan to attend, but to do so I need to give 100% to my grades (ergo the Sammy Davis Jr. quote haha). I just recently finished exams, and finally have a bit of spare time to share with you the few nail art designs I have had time for. I hope to get back into it, and contribute much more to this blog.

So, if you all would like to see some nail art I hope that you stay tuned, for I will try to post at least one design every couple of days. That is until I get swamped with homework, haha.

Thanks xx

Tips for Your Tips-Biotin, Pros vs. Cons

What is Biotin?
Biotin is a vitamin that turns fats and carbs into energy. It is relatively cheap, and therefore very popular.
Pros of Taking a Biotin Supplement:
  • Biotin can help speed up your hair growth, particularly if you  have a biotin deficiency. People who are biotin deficient will probably notice dramatic changes but everyone that takes biotin should see some improvement over time.
  • It is natural. In fact, it already occurs naturally in your body so even purists don’t have to worry about taking a biotin supplement.
  • It can help build bone strength. This is something of particular interest to women approaching menopausal age, or people who have problems with brittle bones!
  • It provides energy to your cells which helps to energize your body!
  • It doesn't require much effort, all you have to do is take a vitamin every day.
  • There aren't any side effects when taken at normal doses. Although taking higher than normal doses (more than 5000 mcg biotin) isn't recommended, it is not likely to cause significant harm in healthy people and it’s not easy to overdose on.
  • It can also help your nails to grow longer and stronger. Moreover, it can help nourish brittle nails and prevent future breakage.
Cons of Taking Biotin:

  • Biotin can be so good at growing hair that you might find yourself with excess facial hair if you are already prone to having a little. This is not a reason to avoid it, but something to keep in mind. Waxing and bleaching can help keep this problem under control perfectly:)
  • You may have to play around with dosages before you find a happy medium between taking an effective amount and not taking more than necessary. Always start with smaller doses and slowly increase the amount you take until you see the desired results, just don't go overboard!
  • Although some people claim that it can help with weight loss, this has not been proven. Studies are still underway to determine if there is an actual connection between biotin and weight loss, so don't get your hopes up.
  • It may take some time to see results.
  • It’s not a miracle product. It can make a difference for people losing their hair but it won’t give a completely bald person long, flowing hair.
My oppinion: I've been taking Biotin for about a month now, and I can see a difference. My hair grows a lot already, but my nails take forever. Biotin has helped speed up the process. Biotin takes about a month to get into your system, but it could take longer than that (up to 6!!) so be patient, because you never know what might work for you! I'm not a doctor of health care provider, so before taking Biotin or any vitamin you should talk to your doctor about it, and then follow his advice!

Colour Club Almost Famous with Cancer Awareness Ribbons

Hi everyone! I apologize again for not posting, god I'm bad at this! Haha. Well, if you follow me on Twitter (@nailedintoyou) you may have seen a preview of this mani. I really like this one, and actually wore it on my nails for a whomping 4 days! Holy crap! This was one that gathered a lot of attention from people I passed in the hallways at school, and when I was working. Everybody seemed to love this.

There isn't one person in the world who hasn't been affected by cancer. Well, I'm sure there is somewhere, but you know what I'm saying. Cancer isn't prejudice, or racist, it gets whoever it can.
Together, maybe we can find a cure and save hundred of lives.

I Used Colour Club Almost famous, and Sinful Colours Black on Black!

The stamping plate is Bundle Monster BM321!

The bows were bought off Ebay!
